Alex Vargas | Giving Up The Ghost EP OUT NOW

Remember last year when I was invited to an intimate Alex Vargas gig? Well finally his long awaited EP is out now! 
Vargas comes from Denmark, and has been working on music tirelessly for 10 years, you may remember his band Vagabond from 2009. Since they disbanded he has been working on solo material, this new EP is a showcase of his incredible writing talent and soulful voice. 
The title track Giving Up The Ghost is a soulful, wonderfully catchy, carefully crafted anthem which demonstrates his vast vocal range. Wear Your Demons Out takes me to another place, I almost get lost in ambient drum beat paired with the guitar reverberation. The lyrics and Vargas' voice evoke much soul and emotion, as does the whole record.
I hope this EP catapults Vargas into huge success, he most definitely deserves it.

Mura Masa is Alex Crossan, a 19 year old electronic producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Guernsey. His tracks such as Firefly, Love For That and Lovesick F*ck have all been hugely successful on blog aggregator Hype Machine and he has gained millions of plays on Soundcloud.

This is the first time in the history of the Blog Sound poll that a male artist has topped it. 

New Year

Happy new year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. As everyone has been saying "didn't last year go quickly!", it really did. I managed to achieve so much last year, I graduated with a 2:1, I moved in with my boyfriend and got my first 9-5:30 full time job. 
This year I want to concentrate on my happiness and continuing to create a better future for my boyfriend and me. As one of my favourite bloggers Gracie Francesca says, you have to trust your journey. I need to remember that as I am working towards my goals. I have a few exciting things planned for A World Of Music And Madness over the next few months, I want to continue making my blog even better. Thanks so much for sticking with me over the past couple of years.
